An address book, waiting to be recovered

Years of correspondence. Useful details left behind.

Contact information rarely lives in one tidy place. It sits in senders and recipients, signatures, forwarded messages and long-forgotten conversations.

EML Contacts brings those details together so you can inspect what was found and decide what belongs in your address book.

A considered workflow

From archive to address book.

Four clear stages, with review at the centre.

  1. Import

Open EML collections, Outlook PST files or MBOX archives from your computer.

  2. Extract

Recover structured contact details from messages and signatures. Optional local AI-assisted extraction uses Ollama.

  3. Review & consolidate

Inspect the evidence, check uncertain details and review consolidated contacts. Extraction can need correction; your judgement matters.

  4. Export

Choose the contacts to keep and export a useful address book in CSV, XLSX or VCF format.

Local by design

Your mail archive stays on your computer.

Your correspondence is yours to work with. EML Contacts processes archives locally, without requiring an upload to a hosted service.

Privacy information
  • Local archives and projects

Source archives and project databases stay on your machine, under your control.

  • Optional local inference

Where configured, Ollama assists extraction locally. You don’t need a cloud AI service.

  • Your results to keep

You control the source material and the resulting contact data, including what you choose to export.

Evidence before assumptions

Built for review, not blind extraction.

A recovered detail is a starting point. Keep the context you need to make a confident decision.

Trace recovered details back to their source messages and evidence.
Bring repeated contacts together
Review deduplicated, consolidated contacts and check details that need attention.
Compare what you already have

For long working histories

Professional relationships shouldn’t get lost in an archive.

For firms and individuals with years of correspondence, recovering a useful contact list is practical housekeeping.

Law firms, accountants, recruiters, consultancies, property businesses and professional advisers can all accumulate contact details across many years of email.
