Third-party software & source

EML Contacts includes third-party open-source and commercially licensed components. Their licences and applicable open-source rights are preserved.

This information does not imply that EML Contacts itself is open source. The product, published by Borsuk Software Engineering Ltd, is not yet approved for public release.

What these materials cover

Third-party notices: The installed application carries THIRD-PARTY-NOTICES.txt, identifying shipped components and relevant attributions and notices.
Licence texts: These set out the terms for the relevant components. Applicable texts accompany the installed product and source material where required.
Corresponding or covered source: This is the matching third-party source supplied where applicable under a component’s licence. Release-specific pages identify the exact material and its publication status.
Product source code: EML Contacts application source is separate from third-party source. These pages do not offer the product’s source code or change its licensing.

Reading Outlook PST archives

EML Contacts uses libpff-python 20231205: pypff, libpff and incorporated libyal components, under the GNU Lesser General Public License v3 or later.

pypff is an external CPython native extension. libpff and libyal material is incorporated into that extension, which the application loads normally. No application runtime integrity mechanism blocks replacement with a compatible modified pypff module.

The accepted arrangement supplies complete verified upstream source, with build and replacement instructions and licence texts. Source material also accompanies offline/private installers.

Other components

certifi’s covered source is included in the product’s source-delivery arrangement under the Mozilla Public License 2.0. Its release page records the exact source identity.

Some components, including the Windows application’s UI component library, are commercially licensed. This page does not offer their source or disclose private licence records.
