All source information for 0.1.0Exact source identity
Complete upstream source
This is the complete exact upstream archive, containing all 1,075 upstream files. It is not repacked or reduced to a source subset. It covers pypff, libpff and the incorporated libyal components used for reading Outlook PST archives.
Both GPLv3 and LGPLv3 licence texts are supplied. BUILD-WINDOWS.txt and REPLACING-PYPFF.txt accompany the release arrangement with build and compatible-module replacement instructions.
Source and replacement material is included with offline/private installers under ThirdPartySource/libpff/. Release engineering also produces a separate complete source package.
Accepted replacement arrangement
Borsuk Software Engineering Ltd’s final licence-holder acceptance is dated 11 October 2026. The libpff licence-holder review is PASS; public source publication remains OPEN.
The accepted route is LGPLv3 §4(d)(1). pypff is an external CPython native extension, with libpff/libyal material incorporated into it. EML Contacts loads it normally and has no runtime mechanism preventing compatible modified pypff replacement.
Complete verified upstream source is distributed with the application and accompanies private/offline installers. Public distribution will provide the identical matching source package directly beside the corresponding binary release, with immutable binary/source release pairs retained.
Future EML Contacts terms preserve applicable third-party open-source rights, including modification and reverse engineering where required for debugging LGPL modifications.
Material changes to source, build/linkage, ABI, replacement mechanism or relevant distribution model require a fresh review.
